So you're probably asking yourself...

What is NW Link?

We’re a group of young people from the area who are interested in getting together with other young people in the area. Sometimes when you live in rural areas, it seems that there isn’t a lot to do or a lot of people to do things with, but we’re out to prove that neither of these things are true. And if you’re wondering what our definition of “young people” is, it’s people ages 21 to the young at heart. You tell us whether you fit that definition.

NW Link is a part of the North Dakota Young Professionals Network. Our mission is to provide people in our region with the opportunity to link with others, to link with their communities and to link with opportunities while having fun. Our name comes from the following beliefs:

  • We will positively affect our NorthWest ND communities.
  • We will develop our Leadership skills.
  • We will Impact change.
  • We will provide Networking opportunities.
  • We will increase our individual and collective Knowledge.

What does NW Link do?

NW Link provides opportunities that aren’t always available in rural areas. NW Link isn’t like other organizations with weekly or monthly meetings that require large time commitments. Instead, we are a group of young people getting together to do a variety of things based on the interests of our participants. Sometimes we meet at area events that are already planned and sometimes we plan our own events. For example, NW Linkers might decide…

  • to meet and go snowmobiling, meet at a local concert, meet at a local street dance or meet at a local restaurant. Those interested show up at the meet point and have fun!
  • they need some help with personal or professional development. NW Link will find a speaker to come and help.
  • they need leadership skills for their job or community involvement. NW Link will plan leadership training.
  • they want to help a local organization with a service project or event. Those interested can join in.
